hi all Big Smile
we have been swarmed by fry lately and running out of room.
today i got a small plastic tank drilled it and put in overflow thats runs to the filter connected a airstone in it and used a small water pump to get the water up. seems to work fine and saved me having to get a filter and heater for the fry.
here is a pic so you can get the idea.

hope you like

Looks good, I might try something similar down the track, just with much bigger plastic tubs from the hardware shop Big Smile

Thanks for sharing

Hi Mate,

Good little fry tank there.

Have you thought about 5 litre icecream containers inside your tank.???

All the best

Good job, macka

It's amazing what you can come up with when you really need something in a hurry, and especially in this day and age, cost effective.

Like little swimmer said, I'd put something on that overflow/outlet to protect the fry from a certain death. It would be a waste after going to all that trouble of moving them into a fry'saver'

cheers Drunk
